Mehrzad is the executive director of the FDP institute. He is also the chairperson of the Board of LanesX and TenRivers. Prior to his current position, Mehrzad was CEO of CyberSafe ID, the Chief Digital Officer of Weatherford Intl, and a Global Vice President of Schlumberger. Mehrzad began his career as a Research Scientist at Battelle Labs.
Mehrzad is a business and technology leader with an international reputation and career focusing on digital transformation in multiple sectors including financial services, high technology, industrials, and energy.

Jane is a strategic advisor to the FDP institute. Jane is co-founder and recently retired CEO of PAAMCO Prisma Holdings, which grew to $32 billion in AUM.   She served as the Chairwoman for CAIA.  She was formerly an Assistant Professor of Finance at Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. Jane began her career at J.P. Morgan Investment Management in the Capital Markets Group.
In March 2020, Jane was named to the Barron's 100 Most Influential Women in US Finance and in 2015 she was named to the Investhedge Hall of Fame.

William (Bill) J. Kelly is the CEO of the CAIA Association. Bill has been a frequent industry speaker, writer, and commentator on alternative investment topics around the world since taking the leadership role at the CAIA Association in January, 2014. Previously, Bill was the CEO of Boston Partners and one of seven founding partners of the predecessor firm, Boston Partners Asset Management. In addition to his current role, Bill is a tireless advocate for shareholder protection and investor education and is currently the Chairman and lead independent director for the Boston Partners Trust Company.  Follow Bill Kelly on Twitter @CAIA_BillKelly 


Keith Black has over thirty years of financial market experience, serving approximately half of that time as an academic and half as a trader and consultant to institutional investors. He currently serves as Managing Director, Program Director FDP Charter at the FDP Institute.

During his most recent role as Managing Director of Content Strategy, Keith was responsible for Curriculum development at the CAIA Association. Previously, Keith was a valued team member at Ennis Knupp + Associates, where he advised foundations, endowments and pension funds on their asset allocation and manager selection strategies in hedge funds, commodities, and managed futures. Other experience includes commodities derivatives trading, stock options research and Cboe floor trading, and building quantitative stock selection models for mutual funds and hedge funds. Dr. Black previously served as an assistant professor and senior lecturer at the Illinois Institute of Technology.

Keith has contributed to the CFA Digest, and has published in The Journal of Wealth Management, The Journal of Trading, The Journal of Investing, and The Journal of Alternative Investments, among others. He is the author of the book “Managing a Hedge Fund,” as well as co-author of the second, third, and fourth editions of the CAIA Level I and Level II curriculum. Dr. Black was named to the Institutional Investor magazine’s list of “Rising Stars of Hedge Funds” in 2010.

Dr. Black earned a BA from Whittier College, an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University, and a PhD from the Illinois Institute of Technology. He has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and was a member of the inaugural class of both CAIA and FDP members.

Dr. Hossein Kazemi, Ph.D., CFA, is the Senior Advisor to the CAIA Association’s Program and the FDP Institute.. He helps with the development of the CAIA program's curriculum, directs the CAIA Association’s academic partnership program, and leads the curriculum development of the FDP Institute.. In addition he serves as the editor of Alternative Investment Analyst Review, which is published by the CAIA Association. Dr. Kazemi has been involved in the CAIA Association since inception as a senior adviser and board member. In addition, he has worked with universities and industry organizations to introduce them to the CAIA program. Dr. Kazemi is a Professor of Finance at the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Dr. Kazemi is currently the Director of the Center for International Securities & Derivatives Markets, a nonprofit organization devoted to research in the area of alternative investments, a co-founder of the CAIA Association, and home to CISDM Hedge Fund/CTA Database and the Journal of Alternative Investments, the official research publication of the CAIA Association. His research has been in the areas of valuations of equity and fixed income securities, asset allocation for traditional and alternative asset classes, and evaluation and replication of active management investment products. He has a Ph.D. in finance from the University of Michigan. Dr. Kazemi lives in Northampton, MA, with his wife and son.


Mirjam is the Project Manager at the FDP Institute, leading operations and program implementation.

Mirjam is a Deutsche Bank Alum, Global Banking Division Amsterdam, where she served a global portfolio of clients. Previously Mirjam was a global sales lead for wholesale AV provider IAVI as well as a National Account Manager of data-driven marketing implementation with Direct Options. 

Most recently Mirjam served as Director of Strategic Partnerships with KnowledgeWorks Foundation, designing statewide learning strategies connecting K-12 through higher education and into careers; and developing competency-based education solutions.

Mirjam has an MBA in Business Data Analytics (Xavier University, Cincinnati, OH) as well as an MS in Talent Management & Organizational Development also from Xavier University.
