The FDP Prerequisite
Each class is designed to serve as a building block to grow and expand your knowledge of Python programming, math, and statistics. Throughout the classes, there will be checks of understanding, options to repeat each module as many times as you wish, and no final testing.
No Python programming background is expected. A typical CAIA, CFA, or FRM member will have the necessary math and statistics background to complete the entire FDP program, including the prerequisite courses.
Classes from each of the following providers have been designated to satisfy a set of prerequisites to the core topics of data science and its applications in the financial services industry.
Research the approved providers below and choose the one most aligned with your preferred learning style.
Each provider offers free trials for you to experience their platform.
No prior Python experience is required.
Prerequisites are designed for candidates to learn about Python.
Upon completion of each class you will receive a certificate from the provider.
Each certificate must be uploaded to your FDP profile and will be verified.
Candidates may only choose one provider.
